How can we share our skills to lift up those around us?

Rethink the meaning of paint for this non-traditional art class as you learn how to use common kitchen ingredients and objects to make colorful creations from unexpected sources. Learn to be resourceful with everyday items as teaching artist Chelsea Gilmore from Think 360 Arts challenges you to scavenge your home for innovative and all-natural art supplies including spices, teas, coffees, cooking utensils, and whatever else you can think of! Feel free to join in with your favorite beverage (and perhaps save some extra to add some extra color to your work).

We recommend having the following items ready/accessible for your use, although we will provide time to find more materials around your home.

Have ready:

3-4 sheets of white paper (think: lined paper, plain printer paper, old bills, etc.)
2-4 cups or other vessels to hold your “paints”
Fork and spoon
Water
Possible items that may produce a pigment (think: coffee, teabags, berries, spices, salt, etc.)
Pen or pencil

We also recommend thinking about bringing along a paintbrush, scissors, tape/glue, string/yarn, etc.—the materials are up to you and your imagination! While you should be able to find most of our “required” materials at home (in some form or another), if you need any assistance with supplies, contact Anythink York Street at 303-405-3234 for more information.
