Are you hungry for good books and good food? This month we will read The Secret Agent by Allan Zullo and then make food to go along with it! Please see a staff member for a copy of the book. Appropriate for kids in 4th-7th grade.
It’s Bingo time! We’ll play several rounds and each winner goes home with a children’s or young adult level book. All ages welcome.
Be a member of the Book Squad! Each month, this teen-led club will choose a theme or title for our group discussion. Discover new books, authors and genres that speak to you. The Book Squad meets monthly on Mondays. This month, we’ll get in the mood for Valentine’s Day by reading books on romance – or heartbreak. No registration required.
Like fellow blogger Nicole Falcone, one of my favorite movies of 2019 is Rian Johnson’s murder mystery Knives Out. Clever, funny, pointed, and just plain fun, Knives Out gave me an adrenaline rush of pure cinematic satisfaction that still hasn’t worn off as of this writing.
Work together to put on a small play. Participants will each get a part to read as we sit around the table. This is a great opportunity for kids and parents to practice reading together!
