I am fairly new to Colorful Colorado and my spring break is quickly approaching. Instead of traversing to the beach or home, I decided to thoroughly explore all of the places and adventures avaiable here in my new state. After talking to some awesome co-workers and friends and consulting various websites, I've created a top 10 list of things I would like to do. Consider taking a different approach to spring break this year with one of the following Colorado experiences:

As some of my previous blog posts have mentioned, I love animated movies. My favorite animated filmmaker is Hayao Miyazaki. His movies cover many topics, but focus on coming-of-age stories and interactions with nature. These deep and visually impressive films pull at the heart-strings while impressing the eye. Any of his movies are worth watching, but these four movies will pull you into a new magical world.

I look forward to each summer like I'm a kid waiting for school to be out. Not because I actually get a kids-length summer vacation, but because many authors release new books in some of my favorite series. These series are at the top of the list because their lead characters have become my imaginary friends. I have quite a few imaginary friends and, like my real friends, they are diverse, complex, intuitive, flawed, brave, intelligent and funny. Each summer affords me the opportunity to visit them again and see where their next adventures will take them.
