Anythink York Street's Teen Advisory Board invites interested teens to join us while we work on our garden plot. Meet at the library, and then we'll walk to the nearby Original Thornton Community Garden. Help us grow food and flowers for ourselves and for donation to help the community. Wear work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Appropriate for students in grades 6-12. No registration required.

Elements! They make up everything around us, but what do you really know about them? Will magnesium, hydrogen, oxygen, or helium burn? Liquid nitrogen is great for freezing things, but what other fun stuff can we do with it? Exploration Universe will let kids see what some of the actual elements look like, learn some wild facts about them, and see some amazing demonstrations of their properties! Appropriate for kids and families ages 5 and up. No registration required.

Join educators from CU to learn the basics of coding (computer programming) by playing with an easy-to-use app called Scratch Jr. A free brunch will be served at 10 am followed by coding fun for the whole family starting at 10:30 am. Appropriate for adults and kids ages 5 and up. Space is limited; registration is required for each adult and child.
