May 2nd is Free Comic Book Day

Comic books are for everyone. They help kids read by teaching new words in context through the pairing of text and illustrations. Plus, they're fun! Stop by to pick up some free special edition comic books to take home while supplies last. All ages welcome. No registration necessary.

Learn all about the photographic process from how analog and digital cameras work to taking great shots and editing them to perfection in this five-part crash course taught by our Artist in Residence and professional photographer, Timothy. Bring your own camera or use one of ours.Taking all five sessions is highly recommended. Appropriate for teens in grades 6-12. Space is limited; registration is required.

This is the second in a two-part series. In this class our Artist in Residence will help you complete a small garden in a terra cotta pot. Basic materials are provided. You may bring additional ornaments and miniatures to make your garden unique. Appropriate for adults and teens in grades 6 and up. Space is limited; registration is required.

Bring your laptop, tablet, or smartphone and your Anythink card. For best results, make sure you have all the passwords and cords necessary to use your device. No registration is required.
