Therapy dogs provide a safe, non-judgmental audience for kids to practice their reading out loud. Bring a book you’ve been working on or choose from one of ours. Read to one of our patient, furry friends provided by Therapy Dogs Boulder County. This program is appropriate for ages 4-12. Space is limited, registration is required. On the day of the event, registered participants will sign up for a 5-15 minute session during the program on a first come, first served basis.

Join members of Anythink York Street’s Teen Action Board in working in their garden plot. We are growing fruits and vegetables to be sold at our summer farmer’s markets. All teens welcome. This activity takes place at the community garden near the Anythink York Street library. No gardening experience necessary. No registration required.

Get involved and do something in your community with the Teen Action Board. Help plan and run events and perform good deeds – all while earning community service hours. During the summer, TAB works on raising fruits and vegetables in our garden plot and running farmers’ markets. Come join the fun and earn your service hours over the summer! Appropriate for students in grades 6-12. No registration required.

All ages are invited to stop by to ask questions and learn more about these fun, quirky creatures. This year’s visit will include opportunities to pet the goats and learn how to milk them. The Hunger Free Colorado Van is coming to Anythink York Street. Stop by to meet with a representative from Hunger Free Colorado to receive one-on-one help with applying for SNAP/food stamps, be referred to food pantries and free meals, walk away with information on child and/or senior nutrition programs, and get answers to any questions about food assistance.  Drop-in. No registration required.
