Anythink Seeks Artists in Residence for The Studio

Anythink is currently looking for creative community members interested in sharing their skills with teens as Artists in Residence in The Studio at Anythink, the library’s new creativity labs.

Videographers, graphic designers, musicians and other creative professionals who are interested in pushing teens’ creativity to new bounds are encouraged to apply to be an Artist in Residence. A small stipend is available up to $100 per session, depending on experience. A minimum time commitment of two hours per week for four weeks is required so that relationships are built between teens and the Artists in Residence. Potential applicants should have an up-to-date portfolio of their work, as well as a strong desire to engage with teens in the community.

The Studios at Anythink are places where teens connect with tools to express their creativity – whether they want to be performers, designers, filmmakers or sportscasters. Anythink Artists in Residence act as mentors to students who are exploring their passions in these creative spaces by teaching them how to use the tools and providing feedback. These individuals will guide students through innovative programming and examples of real-world applications, helping to foster entrepreneurship and 21st century skills.
