In continuing to provide Thornton residents with access to farm-fresh produce and health information, Anythink’s community farmers’ markets are returning in 2019 with expanded dates and locations. Hosted in conjunction with the American Heart Association, City of Thornton, Tri-County Health Department, Lulu’s Farm and Miller Farms, the farmers’ markets will now be held weekly at both Anythink Huron Street (Tuesdays, 9 am-1 pm) and Anythink Wright Farms (Thursdays, 3-6:30 pm) beginning Tuesday, July 9. In addition to food, community members will also find cooking demos, recipes, nutrition information and preventative health screenings (on select dates). The farmers’ markets will continue through the second week of October.

To increase healthy food accessibility, both WIC and SNAP are accepted at all farmers’ markets. Additionally, visitors can join representatives at the Tri-County Health Department booth for information about eWIC and SNAP services.
