Each artist will create artwork around the same theme, “The Disquietingly Beautiful Forest.” At the end of the series, artwork created during the programs will be displayed at the library. Sign language is a great way to effectively communicate with pre-verbal or non-verbal people in our lives. This beginner course will cover a variety of topics including food, playing, animals and more. This class is intended for caregivers with children ages 0-5. While they might be great books, most works of classic literature ignore the experiences of marginalized people. What might we learn by “reading in the margins” and centering the experiences of women, people of color, LGBTQ folks, immigrants, and other underrepresented groups?
