Celebrate the beginning of summer the Anythink way – with lots of fun and imagination. Sign up for the program, hang out with friends and neighbors, and pick up your mySummer book to help you record all your ideas, dreams and goals.
Come and read to our special listening dogs – they love a good story! Our dogs come from the American Humane Association and are specially trained. This is for children ages 6 to 12. This is an especially good experience for reluctant readers or children who are afraid of dogs. This program is the first Saturday of the month throughout the year unless otherwise specified. Please sign up at the front desk to reserve a spot.
Spend Saturday mornings at the library having recess with your children. We’ll set up fun, educational toys in our outdoor story-time area for parents and kids to play with during this drop-in experience. Appropriate for children ages 3 and under.
What are some of the fastest animals on earth? Who’s the fastest among your family and friends? Find out by playing Hyper Dash – a game that challenges your brain and your reflexes – while learning some “fast” facts. All ages welcome. Space is limited; registration required.

Enjoy our rocking chairs while sipping ice-cold lemonade. Sign up for the mySummer program and decorate straw hats or get a colorful baseball cap. All ages welcome.
Kids learn the benefits of stretching and relaxation in this fun, informal yoga class. Each class includes yoga postures (asanas), songs, games, breathing exercises, and space to be quiet, calm, and peaceful. No yoga experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat, towel or small blanket. Appropriate for grades K-5 and their caregivers. Space is limited; registration required. NOTE: This class is held outdoors.

On the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, we host a general Crafternoon for all ages. Teens, tweens, families and children are welcome to create with assorted crafting supplies.
One of the library meeting rooms will become a temporary art gallery as we reprise the exhibition of the National Endowment for the Arts Library and School collection of great art. Play a scavenger hunt game and refresh your knowledge of American art, architecture and history. Light refreshments will be served.
