A new way to explore early literacy! This drop-in program is for children through 6-years-old and their parents. Five different centers will reflect one of each of the early literacy skills. Centers may include books, hands-on activities, crafts and music. Participants will be gathered together two times during the hour to do a group movement or story activity. How’s your green thumb? Need some tips on gardening? Join plant expert Jeri Cretti as she helps us plant, care for and harvest a successful vegetable garden. Topics will include: protecting plants against the elements, appropriate plants for each season and plants that can be replanted. Attendees will leave with a vegetable plant that they have repotted in class. We will also have a raffle of the raised planting bed, but you must be present to win.
