Join us to learn about Connect for Health Colorado, a new online marketplace where individuals, families, and small employers in Colorado can shop, compare, pick, and purchase health insurance plans and apply for financial help to reduce costs. You can no longer be denied health insurance, even if you have had a serious illness or a pre-existing condition.

Show your love for animals by joining us every week for presentations and crafts all focused on pets and wildlife. Grades 1-5 welcome. Space is limited; registration required. 

  • Sept. 5: Wildlife Mystery – We will use a kit borrowed from Colorado Parks and Wildlife to examine animal tracks and hair and solve a “whodunit” mystery.
  • Sept. 12: Cat Toys – Kids will make cat toys to donate to the Adams County Animal Shelter.
  • Sept. 19: Read to Madeline the Dog – Madeline the therapy dog will come to Wright Farms and listen to stories kids are reading.
  • Sept. 26: Creature Feature – Representatives from the Denver Zoo will bring two live mammals for kids to get acquainted with.

Laura will talk about her work as an anthropologist and teacher in Latin America and how this perspective informs her writing.
