Life After Downton Abbey

The end of season three of Masterpiece Theater's Downton Abbey has left a hole in my life. I miss all the drama between and within the classes and the reminders every week that life is made up of love and heartbreak, birth and death -- predicaments that can usually be explained by a witty one-liner from Maggie Smith. I miss the manners, manicured lawns and the fabulous dresses and hats. Fortunately, the Edwardian period of Downton Abbey is so fascinating and dynamic that old and new writers have been drawn to both tell its stories, and Anythink has many books to fill the gap until Season 4.

And if that's not enough to keep you busy, it's always fun to take a quiz. Find out which Downtown Abbey couple you are or which Downton Abbey job is right for you

Just finished reading The Uninvited Guests by Sadie Jones. A wonderful dark drama set in an old English house in 1912 where the mysterious events of a dinner party pit social propriety against human desire.
