Anythink celebrates 10-year anniversary

On Sept. 12, 2009, Anythink launched its first fully branded new library, Anythink Brighton. Since then, Anythink libraries have grown to become one of the most recognized library systems in the country. In honor of its tenth anniversary, Anythink is celebrating with the Anythink Anniversary Tour, a series of community outreach events, and the return of Sparkopolis, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser for the Anythink Foundation.

On Saturday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 24, Anythink staff and volunteers will go door-to-door in different Adams County neighborhoods. These events will provide staff with the opportunity to say thank you to the community, while also introducing newcomers to the library. Media are invited to accompany. The Anythink Anniversary Tour will also include stops at the at King Soopers locations in Bennett (July 10) and Commerce City (July 13), the Adams County Fair (Aug. 2), Bennett Days (Sept. 7), Welby Days (Sept. 14) and a number of other pop-up events throughout the summer.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, the celebration will continue at Sparkopolis, a dynamic and fun-filled fundraiser for the Anythink Foundation. With whimsical experiences and entertainment, this highly anticipated event returns for the first time since 2011. Hosted after-hours at Anythink Wright Farms in Thornton, Sparkopolis attendees will help the library continue its mission to “open doors for curious minds” while joining friends and neighbors for an exciting evening of interactive experiences. More details on Sparkopolis to follow in the coming weeks.

“Since launching Anythink in 2009, we have been dedicated to providing Adams County residents with the exceptional service and libraries they deserve,” says Anythink Director Pam Sandlian Smith. “As we look towards the future, our organization continues to evolve alongside our community, providing even more opportunities to improve the quality of life for everyone in Adams County.”

I feel most excited for you! I am a library assistant in (currently) blazing hot Scottsdale, AZ, but in my imagination I feel like an offsite anythink guide :) Your staff manifesto (the Wizard, the Genius, the Explorer) is so inspiring, and I have read through it and passed it on several times over the years. Have a spectacular 10-year anniversary, and congratulations for all you've achieved!
