Anythink offers Rosetta Stone, Lynda.com

In continuing to provide the community with high-demand services, Anythink announces two new additions to its online resources. Anythink customers can now access Rosetta Stone, a premier language-learning software, and Lynda.com, a leading online learning platform that provides more than 2,500 comprehensive tutorials for business, creative, software and technology skills. Both programs are available to all Anythink customers, requiring only an Anythink card and email address.

“Rosetta Stone and Lynda.com are two of the top online learning resources, and we are excited to be able to offer them both to our customers,” says Anythink Director of Products and Technology Logan Macdonald. “All it takes is an Anythink card, and you can learn everything from a new language to high-level technology and business skills.”

Anythink is one of the first libraries in the country to provide a subscription to Lynda.com for its customers. The resource aligns with The Studio, Anythink’s creation labs and overall approach to hands-on, participatory learning. With tutorials that focus on creativity, digital skills and entrepreneurship, Lynda.com’s robust platform complements the tools, software and programs found at The Studio. Sample Lynda.com courses include Photoshop for Photographers, Editing and Animating to Sound with Adobe After Effects, Project Management Simplified and Productivity Tips for Web Designers. Tutorials are available for a wide variety of skill levels, from beginner to advanced users.

Rosetta Stone is one of the most recognizable and trusted names in language learning. With a wide variety of languages to choose from, Rosetta Stone uses interactive software to accelerate the language-learning process. That process includes imagery in real-life, everyday contexts to provide an intuitive immersion experience. Now accessible to Anythink customers, Rosetta Stone products have been used as an official language-learning tool by a wide variety of global businesses and institutions, including the United States Army.

Rosetta Stone and Lynda.com join Anythink’s other digital offerings and resources to provide a comprehensive digital collection in a wide array of formats. Other available services include digital music, film and TV streaming with hoopla digital; ebook and audiobook borrowing through OverDrive, Axis360 and OneClickdigital; digital magazine browsing with Zinio; and access to several informative resources like Consumer Reports, Business Source Premier and LearningExpress Library. Anythink’s digital content and online resources provide the opportunity for customers to access econtent at the library or directly to a wide variety of personal computers, tablets, smartphones and other devices from home.
