Anythink Hosts Annual Gifts from the Heart Program in December

Gifts from the Heart at Anythink

This December, Anythink’s Gifts from the Heart program brings community members together at local Anythink libraries to hand-make gifts for friends and loved ones. Throughout the first half of the month, this district-wide gift-giving program lets people of all ages craft unique gifts and have fun in the process.

Gifts from the Heart Activities

Anythink Wright Farms
Saturday, Dec. 1, 11 am-1 pm
Transform ordinary objects into gifts you’ll be pleased to give. This drop-in program for all ages features easy-to-make – and easier-to-love – projects that don’t require artistic talent to enjoy. Sip hot cider while designing luggage tags for backpacks or anything else, make magnets to liven up any refrigerator or desk, design a mini wreath decoration or ornament and decorate cookies.

Anythink Brighton
Wednesday, Dec. 5, 3:30-6 pm
Enjoy crafting fun as you make gifts to give from your heart. Musician Steve Eulberg provides an interactive experience for the whole family. Tours Anythink Brighton’s new makerspace, experiment with some of its tools and enjoy refreshments.

Anythink Perl Mack
Monday, Dec. 10-Friday, Dec. 14
Celebrate Gifts from the Heart during a week of drop-in exploration and creativity with quilling – the art of paper twirling. We’ll work together to make a beautiful wall hanging that you can keep for yourself or give as a gift to someone you love. Materials will be available daily during the week. We’ll also have hot cocoa and cookies on Monday, Dec. 10, from 4-6:30 pm.

Anythink Washington Street
Tuesday, Dec. 11 & Thursday, Dec. 13, 6 pm; Wednesday, Dec. 12, 3 pm
Make a personal gift item for a special someone (or keep for you!) to celebrate Anythink’s Gifts from the Heart program. Space is limited; registration required. Please visit our online calendar to register.

Tuesday, Dec. 11: Family Winter Craft

Thursday, Dec. 13: Adult Winter Craft

Anythink in Motion
Tuesday, Dec. 11-Saturday, Dec. 15
Anythink in Motion celebrates Gifts from the Heart at its regular stops all week long. Get a take-home kit to make a special handmade gift; make a small felt toy mouse or a mini patchwork quilt art piece to hang on the wall.

Anythink Bennett
Tuesday, Dec. 11, 3:30-5:30 pm
Participate in our holiday photo fun! Take photos in our photo booth and make something wonderful to give to the special people in your life. Create an ornament out of photo-adorned CDs or make a pinecone photo holder.

Anythink Commerce City
Saturday, Dec. 15, 11 am-1 pm
Celebrate the season with hot beverages and snacks as you create ornaments to take home and enjoy. A mariachi group from Adams City High School will play holiday music from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.

Anythink Huron Street
Saturday, Dec. 15, 1-4 pm
Relax and enjoy the holiday season as we say “thank you” to our customers with music and singing from the Yesteryear Singers. We’ll also host a craft table for children and provide light refreshments for all.
