Opened June 1, 2013, Anythink York Street is the latest addition to the Anythink family. This public library, housed on the Mapleton Public Schools’ Skyview Campus, provides community members and students with a sleek, modern facility, a robust collection, 25 public computers, fast Internet access and a wide variety of hands-on, innovative programming. Reserved parking is available for library customers.

Bring the family to enjoy a watercolor painting workshop sponsored by Paletteers Art Club. This is the third of a series of four monthly painting workshops. Participants will create a group project - Rousseau's Rain Forest - and each person will complete a painting to take home. This family program is for children and adults ages 5 and up. All children must attend with an adult. Space is limited; registration is recommended.

Family Fun: The Energy Bike

Anythink Libraries Closed in Observance of Independence Day

Anythink libraries and administrative offices are closed Friday, July 4, 2014, in observance of Independence Day. All branches will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Saturday, July 5.

Nan Fisher Joins Anythink as Finance Manager

Anythink has added a new member to its Support Services team with the addition of Nan Fisher as the district’s new finance manager. 

A Colorado native, Fisher comes to Anythink with more than 20 years’ experience in both the private and government financial sectors. In addition to being a senior accountant and controller, Fisher was also a financial analyst for the Town of Superior, Colo. As finance manager for Anythink, Fisher will help lead the Finance Department in overseeing the district’s budget and helping fuel innovations.

mySummer Returns with New Opportunities for Interactive Learning

Anythink invites customers of all ages to READ THINK DO with the return of its annual mySummer program. Discover a diverse set of programs, events, entertainment and experiences from May 31-July 31, 2014, at all Anythink locations. This year, mySummer explores the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and technology) concept with innovative programs and partnerships.

Anythink to Host Voodoo Doughnut for Special Teen Program

Anythink will host renowned bakery Voodoo Doughnut for a special teen program on Jan. 29, 2014, at Anythink York Street. At "The Magic of Voodoo Doughnut," students will have the opportunity to meet Voodoo Doughnut Chief Operating Officer Robin Ludwig, participate in a discussion on what it means to run a business, discover the process of designing new and creative doughnut recipes, learn about how the doughnuts are made and taste the different creations. The event, which begins at 4 pm, is limited in capacity and registration is recommended.
