Anythink Joins with Chicano Humanities & Arts Council to Celebrate Festival of Bones

Anythink invites the public to join the Chicano Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC) for the Festival of Bones at The Armory at Brighton Cultural Center (adjacent to Anythink Brighton) on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1:30-2:30 and 3-4 pm. Learn the history and meaning of El Día de los Muertos and how it differs from Halloween. Discover the symbolism of skulls and skeletons in Mexican culture. Students will decorate their own traditional Mexican sugar skull while enjoying festive music. Appropriate for ages 4 and up. Space is limited; registration required.

Anythink Libraries Closed in Observance of Columbus Day

Anythink libraries and administrative offices are closed Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 in observance of Columbus Day. All branches will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, Oct. 14. 

Jackie Kuusinen Joins Anythink as Anythink Brighton Manager

Anythink has added a new member to its management team with the addition of Jackie Kuusinen as manager of Anythink Brighton.

Anythink Gets Outside the Lines

This September, Anythink joins more than 130 organizations across the United States and Canada to participate in Outside the Lines, a new initiative to reconnect communities with the innovation, creativity and technology happening in libraries. The weeklong celebration – Sept. 14-20, 2014 – also coincides with Anythink’s 5th birthday in Adams County, and each Anythink location will host its own birthday celebration on Friday, Sept. 12, with cupcakes and fun surprises for its customers.

Anythink Libraries Closed in Observance of Labor Day

Anythink libraries and administrative offices are closed Monday, Sept. 1, 2014 in observance of Labor Day. Additionally, the Anythink Wright Farms location will also be closed on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. All branches will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
