The fully renovated Anythink Perl Mack serves the North Denver community with a variety of spaces and programs for all ages. This sustainable facility includes a children’s pavilion, teen space, computer lab and program space. The landscaped site also includes a community garden, maintained by local community members in partnership with Denver Urban Gardens. To reserve a plot in the Anythink Perl Mack garden, fill out and submit an Anythink Grows plot form.

A different way to explore early literacy!  This drop-in program is for children through 6 years old and their parents. Five different centers will be set up reflecting one of each of the early literacy skills. Centers may include books, hands-on activities, crafts, or music.  Participants will be gathered together two times during the hour to do a group movement or story activity.

Welcome to a world of Minecraft that is both creative and delicious! Work together to make a Mega Steve out of cardboard boxes, duct tape and paper, and then put him on display in the library. Using soft candy, make your own mini Minecraft characters. 

3D Design and printing with TinkerCAD

Interested in 3D design? Learn how to use TinkerCAD to create 3D images. In this class, you’ll get a TinkerCAD account, create images and get ready to print. An email address is required for the website and prints can be picked up within a week. Space is limited, registration required. Please visit our online calendar to register.

Anythink Libraries Closed in Observance of Labor Day

Anythink libraries and administrative offices are closed Monday, Sept. 1, 2014 in observance of Labor Day. Additionally, the Anythink Wright Farms location will also be closed on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. All branches will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Nan Fisher Joins Anythink as Finance Manager

Anythink has added a new member to its Support Services team with the addition of Nan Fisher as the district’s new finance manager. 

A Colorado native, Fisher comes to Anythink with more than 20 years’ experience in both the private and government financial sectors. In addition to being a senior accountant and controller, Fisher was also a financial analyst for the Town of Superior, Colo. As finance manager for Anythink, Fisher will help lead the Finance Department in overseeing the district’s budget and helping fuel innovations.

mySummer Returns with New Opportunities for Interactive Learning

Anythink invites customers of all ages to READ THINK DO with the return of its annual mySummer program. Discover a diverse set of programs, events, entertainment and experiences from May 31-July 31, 2014, at all Anythink locations. This year, mySummer explores the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and technology) concept with innovative programs and partnerships.
