Anythink Perl Mack
Temporarily closed for renovations. Scheduled to reopen spring 2011
Annette Martinez, Anythink Manager/Experience Expert
Anythink Perl Mack is temporarily closed for renovations. The facility which has served the North Denver community since 1976 is receiving full renovations and an addition of 1,800 square feet, radically modernizing the existing facility with sustainable technology and vibrant library design. A new neighborhood entrance is being added to the north side of the building along El Paso Boulevard. A children’s area is planned for the west side of the building, and the library will also include a teen space, computer lab, renovated program space and updated staffing areas. Along with a simplified parking lot, the south side of the building will include a beautiful porch for all to enjoy.
Sustainable features of this renovated facility include geothermal heating and cooling, day lighting, use of recycled materials and cradle-to-cradle design, and a community garden planned for the west side of the property. The tall, sloping roof of the facility also allows for a possible future photovoltaic array.
The renovated Anythink Perl Mack will reopen to the public in spring 2011.
