Join us at a safe distance for an evening of poetry, reflection, and – let’s not forget – fun. Write a poem before we meet—no poetry experience necessary –on the theme of “The Year Was 2020...”. Then join together online to share your poem aloud with our small group, and reflect together on the trials and surprising redemptions that have characterized this year. Bring a beverage to enjoy during this happy hour, or just bring yourself. Appropriate for adults.

Mailing a letter to an elected official is a wonderful way to get your voice heard. Join Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop to get your cause on paper. Then, add some eye-catching art to your postcard with a little help from the Clyfford Still Museum. We will provide the stamp and get your postcard mailed. This program is drop-in; come and go as you please. Appropriate for kids in grades 3-7.

Art from Ashes empowers struggling youth by providing creative workshops that facilitate health and hope through expression, connection and transformation. During this workshop, you’ll work with your friends, facilitators and performers to create poetry, spoken word, or other writing expressions in a safe and welcoming environment.
