Throughout history, different cultures have seen different figures when they looked at the moon. What do you see? A person’s face? A turtle? A tree? Discover these stories and learn how to identify the moon’s rocks. This informational exhibit from the Lunar and Planetary Institute will be on display throughout March at Anythink Bennett. Enjoy a variety of drop-in lunar activities.

Titan is Saturn’s largest moon and one of the most fascinating places in our solar system.  Students and teachers will learn how to capture their own Titan investigations using scientifically accurate illustrations, just as other great scientists have done throughout history.  Materials provided. Learn about the colorful interstellar clouds known as nebulae and then create your own! After looking at examples, we’ll use ink to create otherworldly art on glassware. Appropriate for adults and teens. Space is limited; registration required.

Are there nine planets in the Solar System? Join us for a presentation on how astronomers discover planets, led by Front Range Community College astronomy instructor Lindsay Rocks. Then, if weather permits, we’ll move outside to view Jupiter and other astronomical objects with a telescope. All ages welcome. Space is limited; registration required.
