March 4 – Screen Printing with the Ink Lounge – Go behind the scenes of screen-printing and learn how to pull a print.

March 11 – Dig It: Plantable Paper – Construct a deckle and follow the steps to prepare your own seed paper.

March 18 – Dig It: Farm to Table – Work with a gardening expert, Katy Rowland, to create container gardens and then cook up some snacks that you can enjoy once your garden grows.

Marma Designs & Sewing School hosts this beginner’s sewing class for kids ages 8-11. Learn the basics of sewing, including how to properly thread and safely use a sewing machine, troubleshooting, layouts, measuring, and fabric cutting. Participants will come out of the class with their own lovely treat bags. Fabric and materials provided. Bring your own machine or use one of ours.

Therapy dogs provide a safe, non-judgmental audience for kids to practice their reading aloud. Bring a book you have been working on or choose from one of ours. Read to one of our patient furry friends. This program is appropriate for ages 6-12. Reading sessions will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check in at the Children’s Department for a reading time.
