In this workshop, join professional comic artists and discover how comics go from thumbnails to sketches, from inks to colors, and all the way to final production. Learn drawing skills specific to comics and prepare yourself for a future career as a comic creator. Appropriate for ages 8-12. Registration suggested.

Snapology will be joining us this month to add some engineering principles into some of your favorite fandoms. Appropriate for elementary school-aged kids and their caregivers. Therapy dogs provide a safe, non-judgmental audience for kids to practice their reading aloud. Bring a book you have been working on or choose from one of ours. Read to one of our patient furry friends. This program is appropriate for ages 6-12. Reading sessions will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check in with a staff member for a reading time.

Come build and program robots in this three week robotics class using RoboRobo robots. Students will learn about infrared sensors, contact sensors, DC motors and LEDs. Program robots with coding cards and card readers – a great screen-free activity that teaches computer science in a fun and engaging way. Appropriate for students in grades K-2. Space is limited; registration required.

The GrowHaus is a nonprofit indoor farm, marketplace and educational center with a mission of providing a neighborhood-based food system for its community. Join us to learn about vermiculture, a process that uses worms to decompose organic waste that results in nutrient rich soil. This program is appropriate for grades K-5. Space is limited; registration recommended.
