Join us at Anythink York Street to celebrate our great planet with green, Earth-friendly activities for the whole family. Outside, we’ll celebrate the grand opening of the Teen Advisory Board’s new garden plots in the Original Thornton Community Garden with snacks and a garden tour. Meet our teen garden leaders and learn how you can obtain your own plot in this garden or one of Anythink’s community gardens. Appropriate for all ages. No registration required.

Julia Ferguson from Adams County Sustainability will provide green-thumbs-in-training with the opportunity to discover all of the amazing things plants can do for people. In this interactive workshop, participants will plant a seed in biodegradable pot that they can take home and plant just in time for spring.

Help the National Weather Service by tracking rainfall in your own backyard. Join Noah Newman, education coordinator for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network, to discover easy ways that all ages can be part of a grassroots effort to help scientists measure precipitation across the globe.
