We’re going on a Bug Safari and we want you to join us! Experts from the Butterfly Pavilion will be our guides as they introduce us to live invertebrates from around the globe and teach about their characteristics, where and how they live, and why they are important in our world. The GrowHaus is a nonprofit indoor farm, marketplace and educational center with a mission of providing a neighborhood-based food system for its community. Join us to learn about vermiculture, a process that uses worms to decompose organic waste that results in nutrient rich soil. This program is appropriate for grades K-5. Vermiculture – worm composting – is an easy way to make your own nutrient-rich fertilizer while reducing food waste. Learn about the wormy, squirmy ins and outs of developing a vermiculture system as you build your own to take home. Part of Anythink’s Dig It series. Best for teens through adults.

This will be a makeup session for the program that needed to be canceled on Thursday, March 14th due to a snowstorm. However, you're totally welcome to register for this new session even if you weren't signed up for the previous one!

Spring has Sprung!  Let’s pretty up those planters.  Using various paint techniques, Emily from Betterish will help us decorate a terracotta pot and you will walk away with a package that includes your very own succulent for you to plant.  The succulent and painted pot is a great gift or for you to brighten your patio.

Ages 18 and up are welcome.
