What Every American Should Know

In an age of increasing diversity and widening inequality, what does it mean to be an American? Join Anythink Libraries, the Aspen Institute, and Rocky Mountain PBS for an interactive dialogue.

Based on the Aspen Institute’s “What Every American Should Know” initiative, the goal of this event is to explore local perspectives of how this country can cultivate a sense of shared destiny and common civic purpose in an age of increasing diversity and widening inequality. PBS’s John Ferrugia will moderate the conversation featuring local artists, cultural leaders, elected officials, and community members.

Light refreshments will be served.

Her name was Moses (Mo for short) and she told her story in the book Three Times Lucky by Sheila Turnage.
