Buzz on in for this bee appreciation and conservation awareness fair. Discover your role in keeping bees safe, learn about the value of bees to our fruits, veggies and flowers, try your hand at pollination tactics, indulge in some local honey and more! Interested in beekeeping? Find out what it takes to get started, try on a beekeeper’s suit and chat with our local bee guru.

Appropriate for all ages. No advanced registration necessary.

Help out our local mason bee community by building your own mason bee house to set-up in your yard! We'll use some wood shop skills as well as found materials to make our houses. All materials will be provided. Please note that this program will be held outside and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Please check the event on our website for cancelation notices. Help us create a BEE-autiful mural for our bee habitat. Each participant will be given a panel to paint a portion of the mural on, and when complete all panels will be placed together to create a masterpiece! All materials will be provided. Best for upper elementary, tweens and teens.

In this three-part series, Anythink's beekeeper, Hivemaster Mike, will teach you everything you need to know to begin keeping bees in your backyard - from time and cost commitment to equipment, city permitting, bee care and honey harvesting. Get hands-on experience with beekeeping equipment and taste fresh honey from Anythink's hives. Appropriate for adults and older teens in grades 6 and up. Space is limited; registration is required. Registration is for all three sessions:
