  • Apr.15: Sharpie Tie-Dye Socks– Use Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol to create a colorful pair of socks.
  • Apr. 22: Caterpillar on a Stick – Use pom poms, pipe cleaners, and a stick to take home your very own caterpillars.
  • Apr. 29: Clothespin Butterflies-Transform an ordinary coffee filter and clothespin into a gorgeous butterfly!

Combine art and science by creating stained glass sugar. Learn about the science of crystallization while following a recipe and using a hot plate. Appropriate for students ages 5-12 and adult supervision is suggested. Space is limited; registration required.

  • March 4: Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Week – Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday by participating in many Seuss activities.
  • March 11: Inkblowing – Use straws and ink with watercolors to create unique pieces of artwork.
  • March 18: Button Making– Design and color paper circles and then use the library’s button maker to create your own buttons. 
  • March 25: Button Art – Use colorful plastic buttons to create a colorful picture.

Get hands on in The Studio with other teens! Learn something new, check out the 3D printer, finish a project, or share your creative talents with others. Students in grades 6-12 welcome. No registration required.
