Computer programming can be a daunting task, but Scratch will have you creating a game in minutes as you explore how visual programming works. An email address is required to use Scratch. Teens from grades 6-12 welcome. Registration suggested, but not required.

On the first and third Thursdays of the month, we’ll host a general Crafternoon for all ages. Teens, tweens, families and children are welcome to create with assorted crafting supplies.

Hang out, play games with your friends and enjoy lunch provided by the Food Bank of the Rockies. We’ll have lots of games to choose from, including the Wii, Xbox, computer games and board games. Students in grades 6-12 welcome.

Make your own lava lamp using household items, and enjoy a snack provided by the Food Bank of the Rockies. Materials will be provided. Students in grades 6-12 welcome.

Come be a founding member of Brighton Teen’s Photo Club! Learn photography and editing techniques and work on a project for the library. Snacks will be provided. Students in grades 6-12 welcome.

Anythink and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art have teamed up to bring you an art-making workshop each month. Join a visiting artist and express yourself through a variety of art media, with the emphasis on creativity and fun! Appropriate for students ages 5-12. Space is limited; registration required.

  • Oct. 1: Autumn SuncatchersTurn an ordinary paper plate into a gorgeous Autumn Suncatcher.
  • Oct. 8: QuillingRoll, loop, curl, and twist strips of paper to create designs on a card.
  • Oct. 15: Colors of LightDiscover the science of light and learn how to bend it.
  • Oct. 22: Simon Says ArtPlay the classic game of Simon Says with an artistic twist. Follow the leader’s instructions as a group yet end up with completely unique picture.
