Effective Mon., Aug. 16, hold requests for library materials will be limited to 10 items at a time. Holds will be kept on the pickup shelf for five days. Our new Anythink libraries and book collections are so popular that usage is surging. Limiting “holds” – or books and other library materials that can be reserved by customers – to 10 at a time will give everyone a better chance at availability, especially on new releases. Wait times will shorten and more items will become available more quickly. Time that our staff would normally devote to pulling and processing holds can now be directed to serving customers directly.
