'Discover Health' exhibition announced

Beginning Friday, Nov. 4, Anythink hosts Discover Health, an exhibition produced by the Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) and on display at Anythink Brighton. Discover Health is an opportunity for community members of all ages to explore healthy living and the body through interactive experiences. The exhibition, which focuses on public health issues and ways to improve overall personal health, runs through Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017. Anythink Brighton will celebrate this exhibition with an opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 am-1 pm, which is free and open to the public.

“What’s really unique about this exhibit is that it was made specially for Colorado libraries with input from the community,” says Anne Holland, public engagement manager of the NCIL. “The exhibition addresses local and regional concerns for Colorado residents, while still providing engaging, hands-on exhibits and programming.”

“We’re excited to share this exhibition with our community,” says Anythink Brighton manager Suzanne McGowan. “Discover Health is an opportunity for kids, adults and families to engage with information that inspires healthy living.”

The NCIL, part of the Boulder-based Space Science Institute, is a nonprofit that seeks to provide effective STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) opportunities for all Americans by creating traveling exhibitions, resources and professional development opportunities for libraries. Discover Health is supported by the University of Colorado and National Institutes of Health.
