Anythink Trail Clean-ups Scheduled for July 31, 2010

After a summer of exploring destinations in the imagination with mySummer, Rangeview Library District’s Anythink libraries has organized two trail clean-ups to be held in Brighton and Thornton as a way for library staff and customers to give back to their local communities. From 9-11 am on Saturday, July 31, clean-ups are scheduled at Veterans Park in Brighton and Niver Creek Trail in Thornton.

Veterans Park Clean-Up

Participants will meet in the Veterans Park parking lot at 405 W. Bridge Street at 9 am to help with litter collection and trail maintenance. Bags and gloves will be provided.

Niver Creek Trail Clean-Up

Participants will meet at Anythink Huron Street, located at 9417 Huron Street, at 9 am to help with litter collection. Bags and gloves will be provided. Keep Thornton Beautiful is also participating by providing gloves and safety vests for volunteers.

WELCOME HOME PARTIES

After spending some time giving back to the local community, participants are invited to head back to their local Anythink for a Welcome Home Party, welcoming customers back from their mySummer imagination vacations.

Spend time with friends and neighbors sharing and working on your mySummer scrapbook. Refreshments are provided.

Enjoy refreshments, enter the best mySummer scrapbook contest and take some photos with your family to include in your last mySummer scrapbook page.

Anythink Wright Farms, 1:30-3:30 pm

Join friends and family for summer’s last blast in the new backyard park behind the library.  Enjoy lawn games, wading pools, and eat treats. Welcome to your library home away from home. Open to all ages; supervision of children in wading pools required. 

Anythink Thornton, located at 8992 Washington Street, celebrates their Welcome Home party on Friday, July 30, 1 pm. Enjoy conversations, snacks, Wii games and board games with neighbors. Imagine and draw pictures of how the library will appear when it reopens in late fall of 2010.
