Anythink partners with Denver Museum of Nature & Science for mySummer 2019

mySummer, Anythink’s annual summer program for all ages, returns May 20-July 31, 2019, with new partnerships and experiences. Programs like mySummer help close opportunity gaps by providing high-quality, hands-on learning experiences to students of all ages and backgrounds. With a mantra of READ THINK DO, mySummer continues to provide experiences that go beyond traditional reading lists to include programs that prompt young learners to be inspired, think critically and engage with new topics.

This year, participants will be able to extend the fun and learning even further at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the official partner of mySummer 2019. Each individual to register for mySummer 2019 will receive a ticket good for free entrance to the Museum through the end of the calendar year. This partnership creates the opportunity for community members of all ages to experience one of the region’s leading science education destinations, regardless of socioeconomic background. In addition, the Museum and other community partners like Eurekus and STEMpunk will host mySummer science, technology and nature programs at Anythink, bringing an added level of expertise to these library experiences.

“Opportunities for summer learning are critical for a child’s continued academic success,” says Suzanne McGowan, Anythink’s director of customer experience. “By providing quality programs and experiences like a trip to the museum, mySummer helps make those opportunities accessible to all students in our community. The Denver Museum of Nature & Science fosters the same culture of curiosity and wonder that we value at Anythink, and we’re excited to have such a likeminded partner to help make these spirited and educational experiences possible.”

“We are excited to be a part of Anythink’s summer program, and look forward to learners continuing their summer adventures with a visit to the museum,” says Tanya Breeling, offsite program manager at Denver Museum of Nature & Science. “Anythink’s mission of opening doors for curious minds is the perfect complement to our work in igniting the community’s passion for nature and science. We are grateful for the opportunity to feed the desire for exploration and discovery together through this program.”

Beginning May 20, customers are invited to become mySummer members in-person or online at anythinklibraries.org/mySummer. Members can pick up their Denver Museum of Nature & Science ticket at their local Anythink. Community members are invited to bring the whole family to Anythink’s mySummer kick-off celebrations, where attendees can have fun while learning more about upcoming events and opportunities with Anythink staff.
