Anythink Huron Street, SeriesFest and Northglenn Arts have partnered to bring filmmaking programs for teens to the library this summer. SeriesFest’s Mobile Cinema Lab travels across Colorado to offer video production and storyteller education to students. This is an unprecedented partnership between SeriesFest and a public library system.

“SeriesFest’s education programs, specifically the Mobile Cinema Lab, are designed to celebrate the story inside every young person,” says SeriesFest Director of Education Neil Truglio. “Through this unique partnership with Anythink, we can enhance opportunities to break down barriers for students and provide this exciting program to a wider community.”

Throughout July at Anythink Huron Street, teens will work in teams to write, produce, and edit their own short films and TV pilots. SeriesFest’s expert instructors will teach participants to use the latest film equipment and technology, and guide them as they complete their projects.

“Anythink looks forward to hosting these programs as a way to encourage teens in our community to be creative,” says Luke Sorge, Anythink Huron Street Generalist Guide. “Teens will gain access to filmmaking and storytelling training, as they collaborate and explore their interests.”

Final films and pilots will be presented at a red carpet premiere night on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the Parsons Theatre.

“Northglenn Arts is dedicated to creating access to the arts for all and this partnership helps to achieve just that,” says Michael Sticker, City of Northglenn Arts, Culture & Community Manager. “The new state-of-the-art Parsons Theatre was not only built to elevate Northglenn arts programming but to also provide expanded opportunities with partner organizations. Northglenn Arts is extremely proud to work with Anythink and host the red-carpet event for SeriesFest’s Mobile Cinema Lab.”
