Anythink hosts The Art of Gathering: An Evening with Priya Parker

Anythink welcomes acclaimed author, speaker and group facilitator Priya Parker to Anythink Wright Farms on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at Anythink Wright Farms in Thornton, Colo. Parker’s 2018 book, The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why it Matters, explores people-focused approaches that can transform any gathering – a family dinner, a business meeting or a wedding – into a shared experience with purpose and meaning. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from a leading voice in the field of gathering, organization and community building on how to make transformational changes to personal and professional gatherings.

“At Anythink, we convene and support many types of gatherings. Client meetings for new entrepreneurs, birthday parties, book clubs, town halls – these all happen within the library walls. We’re honored to share Priya Parker’s vision with our community, to inspire ways to make these gatherings even more meaningful,” says Stacie Ledden, Anythink director of innovations and brand strategy. “This directly aligns with our initiative to establish Anythink as ‘town square,’ building community by connecting people with ideas and each other.”

Parker studied organizational design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and political and social thought at the University of Virginia. She is the founder of ThriveLabs, where she works as a facilitator and strategic advisor to teams and leaders in technology, business, fashion, art and politics. Copies of The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why it Matters will be available for sale on-site courtesy of Tattered Cover Book Store.
