Anythink to Host 'From the Page to the Stage' by the Colorado Ballet Studio Company

In continuing to offer participatory experiences for customers of all ages, Anythink will host two performances of “From the Page to the Stage,” an interactive dance showcase by the Colorado Ballet Studio Company. These performances take place at 6 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Anythink Brighton in Brighton, Colo., and on Friday, Nov. 1, at Anythink York Street in Thornton, Colo. Both performances are free and open to the public.

“From the Page to the Stage” is a dance expression of literary storytelling, and an opportunity for community members of all ages to engage with ballet performances of several literary classics, including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. Following the show, the audience is invited to ask questions about the performance during a Q&A session with the Colorado Ballet Studio Company. Participants can also learn ballet moves and exercises taught by the dancers.

“Everyone loves a story, and stories can be told in many different ways,” says Kathy Totten, manager at Anythink York Street. “The Colorado Ballet Studio Company will show how stories can be told through the art of dance.”
