Anythink Foundation participates in Colorado Gives Day

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, the Anythink Foundation will join more than 1,800 other nonprofits statewide to participate in Colorado Gives Day. This annual fundraising movement encourages Coloradans to celebrate and increase philanthropy in the state by donating online via ColoradoGives.org. Community members are invited to support the Anythink Foundation on Colorado Gives Day, schedule a donation in advance, or set up a recurring donation. Donations to the Anythink Foundation help Anythink continue its mission to “open doors for curious minds” through a variety of services, including capital projects, expansion of collections, interactive programs and public art. Supporting the Anythink Foundation is an easy way to “give where you live” with results that impact the entire community. Whether it’s through an outdoor classroom to help children connect with nature or an interactive program where adults learn new tech skills, the opportunities supported by Colorado Gives Day donations will help impact lives throughout Adams County.

A group of volunteers from Anythink, the Anythink Foundation and the Anythink Board of Trustees will also be riding a specially designed stationary bicycle at Anythink Wright Farms to raise awareness on Colorado Gives Day. Community members are invited to sponsor a rider with on-site donations and talk with volunteers. Anythink’s customized bicycle is designed to harness human energy and convert it to electricity. By pedaling, volunteers will be able to charge a phone, tablet or other device for customers while they learn more about the projects supported by the Anythink Foundation.

“The Anythink Foundation sees Colorado Gives Day as a unique opportunity to reach a wide array of current and prospective supporters of Anythink as part of the day’s statewide celebration of philanthropy,” says Kyle Kreischer, Anythink Foundation chair. “We feel our foundation’s support of Anythink’s programs and services reflects the spirit of Colorado Gives Day by showing how supporters’ financial contributions directly result in meaningful additions to a vital and ever-evolving community resource.”

Colorado Gives Day is presented by the Community First Foundation and FirstBank. Last year, the event raised $26.2 million for 1,677 nonprofits statewide within 24 hours.
