Anythink Brighton hosts Artist Portfolio Showcase

Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, Anythink Brighton will host a series of five workshops to help local artists build upon their skills and create works of art for display. Participating artists will receive hands-on guidance throughout the series, including instruction on how to create a portfolio to submit for jobs or artwork exhibition opportunities. The Artist Portfolio Showcase is designed to help community members push their creativity to new bounds, part of Anythink’s overall approach to participatory learning.

“The opportunity to receive guidance in developing a portfolio can be a really valuable experience,” says Aria Marco, adult guide at Anythink Brighton. “This series is a way for artists to find a community and explore ways to get their artwork seen.”

Artists of all mediums are welcome to participate. Completed pieces will be displayed at a special artist reception on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Details on the reception are forthcoming in the following weeks.
