Why do we have to wait so long for ebooks?

At Anythink, our mission is to “open doors for curious minds.” Getting people what they want, when they want it is an important part of making Anythink a destination for our community. Since we launched ebooks and downloadable audiobooks at Anythink 10 years ago, they have become two of our most popular offerings. Our online collection is our second-largest “branch,” with customers downloading and streaming almost 50,000 digital titles every month.

A woman with long blonde hair wearing a wide-brimmed hat with a feather, a tan corduroy jacket, and a white shirt stands in a grassy field with mountains in the background. She is smiling and looking to the side. The image is framed with a bold red border, overlaid with playful orange illustrations of dancing figures and musical notes.

We’re excited to launch our brand-new Community Concert Series with the heartfelt Americana sounds of singer-songwriter Racyne Parker. Blending nostalgia, warmth, and honest self-reflection, her music feels like coming home—yet always offers something fresh. Before she takes the stage, we caught up with Racyne to chat about inspiration, storytelling, and what it means to share her songs right here in our neighborhood.

Have you ever wanted to dive into the world of audiobooks but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you’re an avid audiobook user but are wondering what the best app is for you.

Text says mySummer, read, think, do. There's a graphic image that's an outline of a window with the outline of a road leading to a sunset or sunrise inside the window. Round icons with various images, like a beach, a heart, a rocket ship, and a ladybug, are scattered across the image.

Anythink’s annual mySummer initiative returns with a wide variety of new summer programming and events for all ages from June 1 through July 31, 2024. The inspiration for this year’s mySummer initiative is, “Your Quest Begins Here.”

New and returning customers are invited to design a summer of fun and learning that fits their own needs and wishes. Wander into an Anythink location to learn a new skill, read inspiring stories and engage in experiences on a self-directed journey. Dare to explore the unknown and embark on adventures all summer long.
