Family Place Libraries™ is a network of children’s librarians nationwide who believe that literacy begins at birth, and that libraries can help build healthy communities by nourishing healthy families. Parents and caregivers with children ages 0-3 are welcome to sign up for this five-week series. Participation will be limited to 12 families. Different childhood experts will be on hand to talk to parents and play with children. Each week, new learning and exploration activities will be offered.

We trace the alluring history of gold that takes you on a journey from ancient civilizations to the '49er strike at Sutter’s Mill.  We touch on Colorado’s own gold rush as well as the role gold has played around the world, from plunderers throughout history to the “gold standard” for money. Presented by Active MindsTM.
