American Creed: Documentary Screening and Discussion

What does it mean to be an American? What holds us together in turbulent times? American Creed (2018) features former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, historian David Kennedy and a diverse group of Americans, all asking themselves whether a unifying set of beliefs can prove more powerful than the issues that divide us. Join us for a screening of this moving documentary, followed by facilitated conversation on American values, the state of our democracy, and the ties that bind us. To help us kick off the conversation, each attendee is encouraged to bring a personal memento – a photo, object or anything that addresses the question: Where are you from?
