The Library’s Upgrades Include 5,000 New Collection Items and Refreshed Spaces to Better Serve the South Adams County Community
Anythink Libraries, Adams County’s public library system, will reopen its Perl Mack location on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, with a fresh new look, expanded hours and nearly 5,000 new books.
The interior refresh includes new carpet, paint and furniture, which are part of Anythink Libraries’ commitment to providing accessible, welcoming and vibrant library environments that reflect the needs and interests of our communities.
Nearly 5,000 brand-new books will refresh and revitalize the library’s collection. This update is all about creating a revitalized, welcoming space for residents of all ages. Visitors will find something for everyone—from an expanded teen graphic novel section to a refreshed selection of children’s picture books and board books.
Alongside books and audiobooks, Perl Mack will continue to offer the popular Try-Its collection, plus an even bigger collection of large print titles and Playaway audiobook devices.
