Anythink partners with City of Northglenn to bring the gift of stories to residents

Anythink has partnered with the City of Northglenn to bring a Short Story Dispenser to the Northglenn Recreation Center, located at 1 East Memorial Parkway in Northglenn, Colo. This stand-alone kiosk prints short pieces of fiction for people of all ages to enjoy. Visitors are invited to spend a day at the recreation center, stop by the kiosk and receive a free, original short story printed on eco-friendly paper at the push of a button.

“We are excited to be partnering with Anythink in having a Short Story Dispenser now located within the Northglenn Recreation Center, Senior Center and Theatre,” says Northglenn Recreation Manager Justin Perdue. “The dispenser seems to be popular, especially during high-use times for the facility, and also looks to be reaching a broad audience. We look forward to seeing how the dispenser continues to engage our facility users, participants and others within the community through the provision of on-demand reading opportunities!”

The Short Story Dispenser prints free short stories with one-, three- and five-minute reading times for adults, teens and children. The company, Short Édition, has now dispensed more than 5 million short stories written by 10,000 independent authors.

“Stories make a powerful impact in our lives,” says Anythink Director of Strategic Partnerships Stacie Ledden. “We are excited to partner with the City of Northglenn to bring the Short Story Dispenser to our community and help spread the love of reading.”

The Short Story Dispenser installation is part of an ongoing partnership with the City of Northglenn to offer Anythink experiences throughout the community, including a Dr. Seuss book display during the Seussical performances at the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation in November 2022.
