What inspired the Express Library?
The new express library’s design was based on the Jefferson County Public Library’s Express Library West Arvada, the first self-service library of its kind in the United States, which opened in 2022 and has been a popular, safe addition to its community.
Why open an Express Library in Northglenn?
After 16 years, Anythink is excited to bring library service back to a space that has long been part of the Northglenn community. While residents have stayed connected through bookmobile visits and nearby locations, this new Express Library restores a familiar, local access point in a fresh and flexible way.
Today, thousands of Northglenn residents actively use Anythink services — often traveling to nearby libraries like Wright Farms, Huron Street and Thornton Community Center. The Northglenn Express Library builds on that strong engagement by offering a convenient, self-service option closer to home.
Will there be staff on-site?
While no traditional staff desk is planned, the library remains fully supported by Anythink’s larger system and staff, who are committed to ensuring the library is clean, the collection is well-stocked and everything runs smoothly. We will also offer hosted programs on a regular basis.
