Starting November 10, 2025, access to digital content – eBooks and downloadable audiobooks – in Anythink’s Libby/OverDrive collection will be limited to customers with a full-access library card.
Getting a full-access library card is easy. Bring your photo ID to any Anythink location or the Bookmobile to get started. If your barcode begins with 230210, you’re all set and can continue enjoying our digital content, no changes needed!
If your barcode starts with 2X, please stop by an Anythink location or the Bookmobile with your photo ID to update your account. We’ll issue you a full-access card and make sure all your existing Libby checkouts and holds transfer smoothly.
Who can get a full-access card?
Any Colorado resident is welcome to sign up for a full-access Anythink library card—visit one of our locations or the Bookmobile with a photo ID to get started. If you’re an Adams County resident who is homebound or unable to visit us in person, we can mail your new card directly to you. We do ask that requests for mailed cards come from within our Adams County service area.
If you’re not eligible for a full-access Anythink card, let us know! We’d love to help you connect with your local library to explore their digital collections.
Why are we making this change?
Over the last five years, more Anythink customers are borrowing digital content, and we are doing our best to keep up with this growing demand. When public libraries purchase digital content, they end up paying as much as five times more for a bestselling eBook than for the print version, and publishers limit the number of times eBooks can be borrowed.
By updating our borrowing policy for full-access cardholders, we aim to reduce long wait times for items, offer a broader selection of digital content for our community, and effectively manage our limited financial resources.
We appreciate your understanding and are always here to answer questions about this update. Thank you for belonging to the Anythink community!
