Mailing a letter to an elected official is a wonderful way to get your voice heard. Join Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop to get your cause on paper. Then, add some eye-catching art to your postcard with a little help from the Clyfford Still Museum. We will provide the stamp and get your postcard mailed. This program is drop-in; come and go as you please. Appropriate for kids in grades 3-7.

Take the first steps into Augmented Reality using Photoshop and Snapchat Lens Studio to bring to life your creativity.  The first class will teach the basics on how to create a 2D character in Photoshop. The second class will build from the first class. We will take the 2D Character file we created and import it into Snapchat Lens Studio to bring it to life in the real world. The Snapchat App is not required, however if you want to publish your creation to the world you will need an account. Appropriate for tweens and teens. Learn the basics of 3D design by creating in the free online software Tinkercad. Discover how to create a basic box with a lid that can be customized. We’ll combine tech and art to create wintery masterpieces. Choose your favorite winter image. Then, we’ll pixelize it, create a grid, and recreate the image with watercolor paint. Appropriate for tweens and teens ages 11-18. No registration required.

Test your engineering skills, learn new skills, battle it out and make new friends. Each participant will make their own robot and test them out in the Battle Royale Arena – a shrinking play field. This multi-player showdown will make for nothing short of a great time. Best for upper-elementary ages, tweens and teens.
