The Studio FAQs

Here at The Studio, we’ve gathered answers to some of the questions we hear most often. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we’d love to help — just send us a message using the form at the bottom of the page or email us at studio@anythinklibraries.org.

Studio tools and resources are available during drop-in or open hours and 1:1 appointments. They’re first come, first served. For popular tools like the Cricut or laser cutter, we may set time limits to make sure everyone gets a turn.

Note on 3D printing:
3D printing takes a little more preparation. You’ll need a digital file to print and must come to The Studio to set up the file for the printer. Once you’re ready, we’ll add your project to our queue. Average wait time is 2–3 weeks.

  • 3D Printing: First 5 hours are free; $1 per hour after
  • Large Format Printing: First linear foot is free; $5 per foot after
  • Direct-to-Film Printing: One free print; $3 per sheet after (max 5 per day)

Visit the following link to book an appointment: Book 1:1 Appointments. Please note that a library card is required to make an appointment.

We’ll notify you when your project is ready. You can also email us at studio@anythinklibraries.org if you’d like an update.

The Studio is a creative space where you can experiment, learn, and make with the support of technology and mentors. If you can dream it, we’ll help you get started and connect you with resources to take your project further.

All equipment is available during Studio hours on a first come, first served basis.

A makerspace is a collaborative workspace where people come together to learn, play, and create. It’s a community hub with tools and resources for hands-on projects, from crafts to technology. Think of it as part workshop, part lab, part playground, open to anyone with a curious mind.

The Studio at Anythink is a space for exploration, creativity, and production. It’s built on the belief that people thrive when they follow their passions, collaborate, and create.

Studio experiences:

  • Start with your interests and ideas.
  • Offer many ways to create, share, and connect.
  • Encourage learning on your own terms and leading with your strengths.
  • Help you grow skills that matter at home, school, work, and beyond.
  • Provide equitable access to tools, technology, and mentors.

Mentors, including staff and artists in residence, support projects through programs, experience zones, and personal guidance.

The Studio is open to all ages and abilities. Young children and anyone who requires a caretaker should be accompanied during their visit to help guide their learning and creation.
