National Poetry Month at Anythink invites you to experience poetry as a dynamic, participatory art form shaped by movement, conversation and shared creativity. Throughout April, poets and performers from across Adams County will bring their voices and practices into our spaces, offering opportunities to explore poetry in new, engaging and community‑centered ways.

In partnership with the Adams County Poet Laureate, Aerik Francis, this district‑wide celebration features workshops, performances and interactive events led by local artists redefining what poetry can be. Join us to discover the intersections between language, art and everyday life—and to find fresh inspiration for your own creative journey.

The Exchange: Music, Movement and Poetry

When: 5 – 7:30 p.m. April 30
Where: Anythink Wright Farms

Join Adams County Poet Laureate Aerik Francis for an evening of inspiring performances and deep conversation exploring the relationships between music, movement and poetry. Where do these art forms differ, and where do they share commonalities? How can we explore other art forms to dive more deeply into our own?

The evening will be filled with performances by Franklin Cruz, Suzi Q. Smith, Aerik Francis and Angie Ráfaga, followed by a discussion and Q&A with the performers. Attendees will have a chance to learn from these artists and ask their own questions of them. Whether you’re a poet, a dancer, musician or none of the above, The Exchange is sure to be an evening of inspiration and connection.

All ages are welcome! This event is free and will be hosted in English. No registration is required to attend.
