Library services to move to new location at Thornton Community Center in the Fall of 2024

Thornton, CO (April 29, 2024) – Anythink announces the upcoming closure of its York Street branch on May 17, 2024. Library services will be relocated to the new Thornton Community Center (2211 Eppinger Blvd.), which is scheduled to open this fall. 

Temporary library service will be provided by the Anythink in Motion bookmobile beginning June 4, 2024, at Community Park (2251 Eppinger Blvd.) in Thornton on Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m. 

“We’re grateful to have developed lasting relationships with our Anythink York Street customers over the last decade,” said Mark Fink, Executive Director of Anythink. “Moreover, we are excited to start a new chapter by returning to our original site in south Thornton and offering expanded library hours as well as outstanding programs.

Library services will be relocated less than one mile from the Mapleton Public Schools Skyview Campus to the new Thornton Community Center, which will feature modern facilities, and a broad range of programs designed to meet the diverse needs of the community. Until the new library opens, York Street branch employees will be reassigned to work at other Anythink locations.

Customers are encouraged to pick up any holds and finalize transactions by May 5, 2024, or access services at the other six Anythink locations. The three closest locations to Anythink York Street are:

Thornton, CO (29 de abril 2024) – Anythink anuncia el próximo cierre de su sucursal de York Street el 17 de mayo de 2024. Los servicios bibliotecarios serán reubicados al Centro Comunitario de Thornton (2211 Eppinger Blvd.), que está por abrir este otoño. 

Ofreceremos servicios bibliotecarios temporales a través de la biblioteca móvil, Anythink in Motion, empezando el 4 de junio, 2024, en Community Park (2251 Eppinger Blvd.) en Thornton, cada martes de 1:00 p.m. a 5:00 p.m. y los jueves de 9:00 a.m. a 1:00 p.m.
