Anythink York Street and No Kid Hungry invites families to join us for a free, 7 week course that teaches parents and their children ages 2-12 about cooking and eating healthy as a family on a budget! Class meets once per week (Tuesdays), for 2 hours. Each week your family will make and enjoy a healthy, affordable meal together. Families will also receive a FREE bag of groceries to make the meal again at home! To graduate the class, families must attend at least 5 of the 7 classes. Graduates will receive a guide/recipe book and completion certificate.

Space is limited; registration is required. Families that can attend at least 5 of the 7 classes are encouraged to register. Registration is for all 7 weeks. Please register EACH family member, so we have an accurate count.

Anythink York Street’s Teen Advisory Board has been hard at work growing fruits, veggies, and flowers in their garden over the summer. Meet these teen growers and peruse the fresh fare they’ll have for sale at their very own farmer’s market stand. Proceeds and extra food will be donated to the Thornton Community Food Bank.

Appropriate for all ages. No registration required.

Celebrate the end of summer with a sweet treat to eat. We’ll make shortcakes in our toaster oven and then smother them with sugar-sweetened strawberries and whipped cream. Appropriate for students in grades 6-12. Space is limited; registration is recommended.

Paris attracts people for all sorts of reasons. Picasso came for the bohemian art scene that thrived in Montmartre. Hemingway, Fitzgerald and other Lost Generation American expats sought refuge and inspiration (not to mention the occasional drink) in the cafes of Saint Germain and Montparnasse.

We will do a different, fun activity each week that’ll get the heart pumping followed by a free, nutritious snack provided by the Food Bank of the Rockies. Appropriate for kids up to age 18. No registration required.
