Gather with fellow community members to reflect, connect and create new civic traditions that are meaningful and communal. Through songs, readings and discussions, local artists, community members and Anythink staff will share inspiration on the theme of "Building Abundant Communities.” How can we harness our power as individuals to build resilient communities? How can we share our skills to lift up those around us?

Meet individuals who are taking the initiative to make change in Colorado and hear a performance by Wayne Watts. Participating families will also be provided materials to encourage young children to engage in the conversation.

Families are encouraged to use this resource guide to help engage kids in the conversation.

This event will be held online using Zoom. A link to join will be sent out via email to registrants. Space is limited; online registration required.

How do we reflect on relationships negatively affected by politics? 

Civic Saturday is hosted in conjunction with Living Room Conversations. Local performers and guest speakers will also be featured, including The Reminders and poet Franklin Cruz. Participating families will also be provided materials to encourage young children to engage in the conversation.

Join Anythink staff and renowned Colorado artists Inaiah Lujan and Kimberly O'Connor, for music, poetry, readings, and discussion on the theme of “Beyond the Voting Booth”: How do we re-imagine our power as citizens past election season? How do we act as a collective to build a brighter future for our democracy?

Through songs, readings and discussions, local artists, community members and Anythink staff will share inspiration on the theme of civic resolutions: How can we individually and collaboratively contribute to the communities where we live? This event is free and open to all. 

This gathering is hosted in conjunction with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Census 2020 and Adams County Elections. Attendees will receive vouchers for 50 percent off upcoming performances of the play twenty50 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. 

Refreshments will be served. To help us provide refreshments and accommodations, please register in advance. 

Sign language interpretation will be available.

On May 18, Anythink will host its first Civic Saturday – a place to come together in civic community, be inspired and encouraged to reflect and connect, and create new civic traditions that are joyful and communal. Through songs, readings and discussions, local artists, community members and Anythink staff will share inspiration on the theme of neighbors. What challenges and opportunities do we face in a rapidly growing community? What does it mean to be a good neighbor?

This event is free and open to all. Sign language interpretation will be available. Refreshments will be served. To help us provide refreshments and accommodations, please register in advance.
